Polydioxanone (PDO) Thread Lift

The Answer to Loose & Sagging Skin

Natural Results

A PDO Thread Lift is a procedure that uses a dissolvable suture to tighten and lift your skin. It’s a less invasive procedure than facelift surgery and can often be performed in under 45 minutes without needing to go under a scalpel.

The threads are synthetic absorbable surgical sutures, composed of polydioxanone. PDO sutures are made from surgical grade materials, which are accepted well within the body. Consequently, these sutures are one of the safest foreign materials to be implanted and will be absorbed and metabolized in four to six months, without leaving any scar tissue.

How Does it Work?

Controlled Healing

Selective inflammatory response is the principle behind many esthetic procedures. While we see an instant lift, thread lifts also enjoy the benefits of this natural process, as the PDO threads encourage natural collagen production.

Lift Procedure

The lift procedure uses barbed threads and produces immediate results. The PDO sutures have ‘barbs’ which provide grip underneath the skin. Sutures are inserted under the dermis and can be pulled in two directions, creating instant results. This technique also encourages natural collagen production.
