Dermal fillers are used for facial esthetic treatments and are injected into the skin. They are designed to effectively reduce the appearance of unwanted wrinkles, contour and create volume, and to revitalise the skin. Dermal fillers are based on Hyaluronic acid which is a substance that naturally exists in your body.
Dermal fillers work by boosting the skin’s supply of hyaluronic acid, revitalise and add volume to the skin, instantly diminishing the appearance of lines and wrinkles, and giving a natural softer look. Dermal fillers are a soft injectable gel consisting of stabilized, non-animal hyaluronic acid. The gel is tissue-friendly and closely resembles the hyaluronic acid that exists naturally in the body. It is long-lasting but not permanent.
Dermal Fillers help with:
- Restore a youthful-looking appearance by filling lines and wrinkles or adding volume
- Enhance facial balance and harmony
- Smooth wrinkles in specific facial areas, such as the cheeks, mouth/nose folds, lips?and around the eyes
- Refresh and improve the smoothness, elasticity and appearance of your skin for a radiant-looking glow
A Wrinkle in Time uses Juvederm? and Restylane® as their main dermal fillers. Our Medical Esthetics Professional (RN) will determine which product is best suited for your needs.

What to Expect with your Treatment?
Treatments are usually less than an hour with minimal downtime. Dermal fillers are instant, so you can see a visible result immediately after injection. It takes up to 4 weeks for the filler to fully integrate into the tissue. Dermal fillers can last over a year pending which product is used.
You will book a consultation to begin your journey. During the consultation, your Medical Esthetics specialist (RN) will work with you to determine the areas that will best suit your needs. Prior to your treatment, a numbing cream is applied to make this a comfortable experience. Post care instructions will be given to ensure the best results.
